Why we love this Wine
This is, essentially, wild Champagne. What? Yes. No? Hold up. Made by Champagne whiz Bertrand Gautherot, he’s sourced Chardonnay from a chilly little plot, growing amongst native vegetation from unprepared soils. Mildly tamed by time in barrel and Georgian amphora, it’s yields are super small, creating intense mineral energy barely restrained by that cork. Vibrant and generous, it’s a true one of a kind.
