Tillie J Wines’ 2024 Aligoté is a vibrant gem; a rarer style on Aussie shores, plus a unique expression thereof. Hand-picked and whole bunch pressed, it spends 9 months on lees in a mix of French oak and stainless steel. First thing we clocked: so much zest in the bouquet. Lush lemon rind and jasmine with toasty oak. The palate gives up lemon curd, refreshing acidity, and a nutty, biscuity finish. A wine that’s fresh, persistent, and utterly smash-with-the-squad energy.
