This Sangiovese from the Mount Lofty Ranges is made to be drunk young, full of lively strawberries and blue fruits, plus a spicy, herbal edge. Think bay leaves and warm spice joined by assertive tannin and fresh acid. Though a young wine, it offers complexity, born of a combined ferment with whole bunches and whole berries, plus two weeks on skins before basket-pressing to old oak and stainless steel.
