Why we love this Wine
The Maury AOC (a very special corner of France's Rousillon wine region) promises concentration and heft in its Grenache-focused blends, and this stellar example from Terres Fidèles borrows freshness from Carignan to make for something seriously special. Hand-harvested, wild-fermented, minimal intervention approaches let the old bush vines and schist soils do the talking. What's said is elegant, bright and boldly red-fruited, with plenty of finesse on the finish. Well worth chasing down at least a few from this limited release.
