Why we love this Wine
A thinker's Victorian Gamay this. Easy to drink certainly, plenty of energy, but with surprising grip and pepper. Fruit forward, and juicy, sure. There's a little smoke, a little incense. A glut of Gamay, done three ways—fermented as whole berries, whole bunches and a blend, all in concrete. Then, matured in foudre and small format oak. Basically, a whole lot to like, as is consistently the case when Chris Catlow turns his talents to the Upper King Valley. Ready to run, right now.
