Why we love this Wine
Why don’t we see more Chardonnay cohabitating with Riesling? Are we afraid of their combined might? Sarah Adamson at Scout has no such fear and a blender’s heart. The Scout Blanc from Central Otago sees her coaxing a lot of character out of Chardonnay with a two week wild ferment on skins, while Riesling’s acid always shows up. A little ginger, a little cumin, a lot floral. Tidy texture. Yum.
