Why we love this Wine
Although a French variety originally, and still one of the six grapes allowed in the Bordeaux blend, Malbec has found a new home in Argentina, where the environment and variety have found their perfect match. In fact, Mendoza, where Santuario is based, is considered to produce the best Malbec in the world. This wine does well to show why. Plum, blueberry and blackberry dominate, with stainless steel and concrete maturation and no oak treatment letting the fruit really sing, while the inherent tannin and body of the variety are still very much present.
