Why we love this Wine
Pinot Noir is said to tell stories of place; and what a tale this one tells. Unspoiled bushland and rolling hills, ancient marine sediments, constrained vine vigour. That's the Rising story really, and this chapter is written in bright ruby-red, with a nose of pomegranates, jubey raspberries and warming cardamom. You can taste the wet rock and blue stones of Rising's notorious 'Bad Earth' terroir (very much a 'so bad it's good' situation). We also get prosciutto, and strawberries, and the most delicate tannin.
