Cab Franc and frands. (Merlot, Malbec, Cab Sav, Petit Verdot). Basically the five horsemen of the Langhorne Creek red-pocalypse, grown on limestone over clay and packing serious punch. 25-year-old Cabernet Franc brings beaut acid, a red berry nose and spicy, vegetal crunch. All-fruit handpicked, wild fermented with 20% whole bunches kept in the mix. Basket pressed and matured in French oak for 12 months. This is a very robust red, and yet very, very drinkable. Definitely one to decant, or indeed one to whack in the cellar up to 15 years.
