Why we love this Wine

Liquid gold in colour, and almost aggressively aromatic, the Turbul Malvasia from Quealy is no wallflower. Macerated 6 months, and spending 18 months in barrel, there's structure and complexity beyond what's expected in a wine this young. Crashing waves of sweet citrus, red apples and honeysuckle belie a much more textural, savoury palate. There's an oxidative nuttiness reminiscent of wines from Jura, but restrained and very approachable. This wine wants to be your friend.
