Why we love this Wine
On the surface this is Adelaide Hills rosé, and Adelaide Hills rosé is a beautiful thing. Deeper down, there's Piemontese heritage too. Winemaker Stephen Pannell credits formative years with G.D. Vajra as a jumping off point for his Nebbiolo Rose, sparking an enthusiasm that would later see him graft an old Chardonnay vineyard on Protero with clone 111, foreshadowing a very specific vision for this particular pink drink. Musk lollies on the nose, roasted chestnuts on the palate. Rich and ready.
