Go gently with this one, the Rabajà Riserva needs a bit of warming up. Immediately bold and almost obnoxiously brash, this brooding, gutsy Barbaresco tempers deep fruit with aromas of matchstrike and tar. Liquorice and leather show themselves after a little air. The conditions across the 2021 growing season created strong polyphenolic content within berries, compounds that lend themselves well to creating structure and shape, characteristics that endlessly reward careful ageing. Nebbiolo to sample soon or lay away for a rainy day.
