Why we love this Wine
The Późno wines are the first release from Pete Wood who put them together during downtime in the Borachio winery in Basket Range. Is it a red is it a white? Classic question. Red. But also, kinda both. 50/50 foot stomped Shiraz from high up in McLaren Vale, pressed with Muscat from over the hill in McLaren Flat. Born after one of those ‘wow’ moments you often have with wine from, say, Southern French heroes. An iridescent red with a pretty floral lift. Quenching and layered all at once. With the body of a sunset wine it’s more than that, always holding up well into the night, or morning.
