Why we love this Wine
We get all tingly at the thought of popping the cork on one of these. Butteaux is one of the climats in Premier cru Montmains that’s recognised as an almost unparalleled vineyard site, with a thin layer of clay overlaying that Kimmeridgian marl. It’s all oyster shells and apples, with a silken palate of rich citrus and white peaches. This unfurls further with time in the glass, and on the palate, rounded out by a lovely lick of salt on the finish.
