Why we love this Wine
Santenay usually gets filed as "affordable red Burgundy" — the entry point, not the destination. La Comme argues otherwise. It sits at the northern edge of the village, right on the Chassagne-Montrachet line, in the stretch locals rate highest.
PYCM values purity over polish, minimal intervention, terroir left to do the talking rather than the winemaker.
Rose petal and violet lead, red cherry and redcurrant sitting underneath, a thread of licorice running through the middle. Clay gives it fruit and heft, the limestone pulls it back into line — fine-grained tannin, a taut, mineral finish. Sturdy without being heavy.
