Why we love this Wine
This one will please the masses - even if they haven’t heard of it. Aside from its lofty Grand Cru status, Pierre Peters’ flagship Champagne appeals to the puritan as it lets the Chardonnay really shine through the fizz; zesty lemon, white flowers and stone are energetically delivered and drily finished. Hints of moreish yeastiness from the 40% reserve wine, circa 1988.
