Why we love this Wine
A site-specific grenache, when anyone passes this vineyard north of McLaren Vale, they note the perfect hilltop position and signage proclaiming its 1946 origins. Lucky they let Hills winemaker Taras Ochota loose in that paddock. He squeezes the purest expression out of this fruit, tart redness, mouth-coating tannins, a kick of spice. Huge vibes every year.
