Natte Valleij have demonstrated exactly the gentle touch Pinotage requires, in this strawberry-scented medium-weight red hailing from Darling. Great care has been taken in the cellar, starting with manual sorting of the hand-harvested grapes, ensuring pristine bunches only. A wild ferment in open-top 600L oak demi-muids achieves a soft extraction of colour, flavour and tannin. The process unlocks berry flavour and dark forest fruits that hit the palate with fleshy weight. Malolactic fermentation and maturation in Burgundian barrels leave behind perfectly balanced texture and complexity. Plush.
