An amphitheatre that echoes with Austrian heritage, turned loose in the Adelaide Hills. Mt Bera’s Blaufränkisch is all lift and energy. Think juicy black and red berries — raspberry, strawberry, red cherry — threaded with pepper, juniper and a flick of aniseed. Light on tannin, bright with acidity, gently herbal and faintly 'vermouthy' in the best way. Soft, mouth-filling, wildly food-friendly.
