Why we love this Wine
This is one of two Pinots made from the volcanic soil of the Gryn vineyard. Erring on the serious side of Pinot, it’s 100% whole bunch, yet Jordan’s decisions to hot macerate the fruit and age 20% in a new French oak puncheon drives home the assertion that this is an elegant wine far from the confectionary aisle. Defined by a certain leanness layered by savoury vegetal notes, including tomato leaf and an aura of smoke. Much to unpack.
