Gutsy, grounded Nerello Mascalese from organic 120 y.o. vines grown on the volcanic soils of Mount Etna! The soils of this natural beauty charge the rosso with undeniable smoke and tar. Foot stomped and fermented in tanks made from volanic rocks (how cool), 15 months in older oak refines a layered red generous in bright dark fruit, balsamic, fine tannin, and all that glorious minerality.
