Why we love this Wine
Rosé with a serious streak, out of a single Macedon Ranges block sitting 510 metres up where the nights bite. Oliver Rapson and Renata Morello hand pick the lot, then let wild yeast do the fermenting in a 110-year-old foudre before four months ageing on lees in old French barriques. Low alcohol (12.2%), high in personality. Think tart raspberry, grapefruit rind, wild rose and a chalky, savoury finish. Barely touched on the way to the bottle. One for those who reckon rosé should have something to say.
