Why we love this Wine
This is Pinot Noir's sexy cousin from Jura, an ancient, related variety indigenous to the region, known sometimes as Savagnin Noir. With only two parcels of the grape grown in the locale, this plot in Le Vernois is a rare gem, and the flavour it packs is taut and densely herbal. Black tea and red berries dominate with tongue-tickling delicate tannin. 100% whole bunch fermented. Fruit-forward, but with cocoa depth and moreish minerality. Bliss in a bottle.
