Why we love this Wine
Chardonnay from California, let's talk about it. They run the gamut of stylistic possibilities, that's for sure. Ted and Heidi Lemon identified Sonoma's littoral (coastal) area as the west coast's ultimate site for Chardonnay, what with its moderate climates, chilly mists and diverse soil types. In crafting this single vineyard powerhouse, they've opted for whole bunches pressed straight to barrel, full malo and aging in 25% new French oak for 11 months. Big ooft. She rich. Huge nose of melon, citrus zest, chamomile tea. Mouthfilling, but linear and precise, great acid. Wild-card Chardy, an experience.
