Why we love this Wine
Here’s a rare bird. There are a few Heathcote producers currently playing with uber-light, chillable Shiraz, but by god we like the richer stuff (like this one) too. There’s a surprising umami quality present, olive brininess, slight meatiness, some deeply toasty spice. Earthy tannins, beautifully balanced. Despite the levity of the label, this is well-rounded, serious drinking.
