Why we love this Wine
This is Primitivo wearing its spectacles. Serious stuff—brooding, deep. Still a full bodied red from southern Italy, but more gently extracted and delicately oaked than the shouty iterations encountered elsewhere. Brambles, blackberries, spice, clay. Crafted by Valentino Dibenedetto and the four Dibenedettos Jr, a family up to their elbows in Italy's no-till approach to regenerative viticulture. Soil health is promoted by farming ancient grains alongside old vines, showcasing all the vibrancy of Castellaneta, Puglia.
