Why we love this Wine
Bollinger bought into Langlois-Château back in 1973, and it shows — these are Crémants made to Champagne-house standards, sometimes exceeding them. The blend draws from six distinct terroirs across Saumur, Anjou and Touraine, hand-harvested and gently pressed, mostly Chenin Blanc with Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc filling it out. Aged on lees well past the legal minimum, which is where the texture comes from. White flowers, white peach, grapefruit, baked pear, a thread of brioche. Crisp, fine bead, properly dry. A Champagne house’s idea of what else is possible in the Loire.
