AJ Hoadley's wines always hit, and this unconventional, untraditional take on the Piedmont grape, known locally as Favorita, hits hard. Six days on-skins before wild ferment in seasoned oak. A good nine months on lees, assuring quirk to follow. A mid-week drop of pears, honeydew and white flowers. Refreshing, textured and succulent. Dare we say a bit savoury leaning? Vermentino drinking like a holiday.
