Why we love this Wine
Beaujolais's whole pitch is "poor man's pinot" — cheap thrills, serious drinking. La Petite Mort takes that lightness somewhere weirder.
Andrew traded ski slopes for cellars (training under Jauma's James Erskine) and landed on Queensland's Granite Belt — one of Australia's highest, coldest vineyards, nowhere near the bold reds the state's known for.
This Gamay skips oak entirely, fermented in buried terracotta qvevri — ancient Georgian vessels using the earth itself as a fridge — for skin-contact texture without weight. Bright red fruit, peppery snap, silky through the finish.
Little death, big flavour.
