One of the world’s great Riesling estates, the precipitous J.J. Prüm vineyards of the Middle Mosel produce stunning fruit. The blue slate of their Graacher Himmelreich (GRAK-her HIM-el-rike) vineyard produces a firm, more mineral-laden wine; one with a reputation for impressive ageing ability. This museum release is straight from the J.J. cellar, premium fruit picked later, some noble rot, a Goldkapsel honeyed up and shining. Candied fruits of ripe melon and spiced apples, delicate florals layered in. Strap in for richness and length. No questions, this is luxurious.
