Why we love this Wine
Jean Bouteille is a jet-setting Frenchman and sponge of knowledge, whether it’s lending a hand to saké in Japan or wild beers in Marrickville. Luckily, they shut the airports so we’re stuck with him - and his blend of pinot gris, cabernet franc and pinot noir. Made in Mt Gambier (pronounced ‘jhom bé yeah’ now btw). Old volcanic soil. Minuscule production (less than a tonne). Love and experimentation.
