Why we love this Wine
Jasper Hill wines and winemaker Ron Laughton have been at the pointy-end of fine wine in Australia for decades. The Emily’s Paddock hails from a 1975-planted, three hectare block of Shiraz with a little bit of Cabernet Franc in the mix. It’s a spice-laden picture of dark and red plummy fruit with hints of olive tapenade, violets and oak-derived wafts of clove and cedar. Fine, super-ripe tannins provide support, bright acidity propels it forward tempering the bold fruit weight and intensity as it carries to a long, sustained finish.
