From Iseya Distillery in Kanagawa comes a bottling that's set to return year-on-year, with a stacked ingredient list and a vivid crimson hue. Scarlet Aperitivo positively groans with tart and tangy flavour combinations, featuring grassy lemon balm, sproutwood and sage, while the guts of your drink are warmed with cinnamon, licorice, leather and blood orange. That's after the floral fantasia of a nose presented first: passionfruit flowers, jasmine, spring air just generally. An experience from first sniff to last sip, serve over rocks (or don't).
