I Vigneri’s Palmento & Anfora Rosso is a deep dive into what Etna’s all about, built on 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio. Aromatically, we're talking tension—ripe red fruit and wild herbs tangled up with spice, earth, and smoky intrigue. A powerful yet precise palate: tobacco-dusted cherries, dark berries, dried florals, sandalwood, and that unmistakable streak of volcanic minerality. They make this one the old school way; pressing skins in an ancient press from the 1840s, ageing done in Georgian qvevri (terracotta amphorae). From volcanic soils, and explosive.
