From a wild youth to a knowing middle age, Josephine ties together Blaufränkisch and Roesler with finesse while still revealing a youthful energy. Grown in Oggau, a small Burgenland town, 35-year-old vines grown from gravelly soils and biodynamic farming precede a short eight months in older oak. Fresh red and black fruits are balanced by pepper, savoury spice and a cool autumn morning earthiness.
