Chief winemaker Mel Chester treated the Tarraford vineyard’s fruit to 30% malolactic fermentation and ten months in French oak (20% new), resting on full gross lees for a wine of epic intensity. Tightly coiled like a spring, lemon peel, green apple and white peach and charge headlong across the palate like a bolt of electricity that knows exactly how and where to strike for maximum effect.
