Lagrein is native to Alto Adige, soaking up sun on the slopes at about 250m above sea level and reaching full maturity late in the harvest. Franz Haas leans hard into the depth and intensity this long maturation (and the alluvial soils) can offer. Carefully selected fruit is gently destemmed and fermented in open-top stainless steel vats.
