Why we love this Wine
Primitivo can be one of the louder voices in a room (or blend), and when standing alone in it single-varietal glory it's definitely got big personality. At 100%, Il Chaos packs concentrated punch. A little spicy, made with manual pump overs and punching down. The wine owes some minerals to the volcanic sand and dark clay that vines were cultivated on in Campania. Having been aged in amphora there's been some gentling of tannin, so you really get to appreciate the red and black fruits.
