Why we love this interesting drink
Enolites – or enoliti in Italian – is the ancient word for medicinal wines, also called ‘tinture vinosi'. We're happy to call this saintly stuff from Sicily medicine (though not medicinal), a non-vintage, sulfur free digestive tonic made from Nero d'Avola. Think of this as an aroma rich wine-based precursor to amaro, vermouth or aperitivo-- a little lighter, with cold-macerated botanical extractions blended in. Lively, detailed and delicious.
