Why we love this Wine
There's a cult-following for SA-based Doom Juice and their punchy, modern wines, and we chalk that up to their bold, borderline risky approach. ie. Co-fermenting Zibbibo, Riesling, Vermentino, Fronti Blanc in a giant concrete tank (basically a swimming pool for grapes), the wine equivalent of diving in headfirst. A solid 22 days on skins give it that beautiful orange hue and a profile that’s all apricot, citrus zest, minerals, and a dash of gingerbread spice. A seriously smashable amber wine.
