Hot out of Alsace, Domaine Weinbach’s 2022 Pinot Blanc is a biodynamic banger with layers of complexity that warrant you taking your time with it. Made from 70% Auxerrois (genetically a cross between Gouais Blanc and Pinot Noir) and 30% Pinot Blanc, it’s got orchard fruits, white blossom, and a touch of chamomile. For a white, oh-so fleshy and mouth-filling, with a textural core and punchy freshness. Raised in large-format wood over 8months, and taking fruit sourced from 45-year-old vines on limestone/clay soils, this is one for the terroir nerds.
