Why we love this Wine
Slightly unconventional Poulsard: juicy but smooth, very expressive. Despite the long history of their vineyards, Domaine des Carlines was only founded 10 years ago, the baby of three friends looking to craft sustainable (soon to be recognised organic) wines from vines around Chateau Chalon and Ménétru-le-Vignoble in Jura. Warmly received then, and only going from strength to strength. The Poulsard is bright with cherries, raspberries and strawberries. Vivid ruby, with a smattering of dry herbs, pot pourri and delicate tannin. Endlessly drinkable.
