Why we love this Wine
The Riverland is a hospitable place in general, but with its hot, dry climate, only certain grapes truly thrive. Nero d'Avola is one of them, and when it's farmed organically and biodynamically, as this has been, it does even better. This has been fermented on skins for 14 days, and pressed off to old French hogsheads for an 8 month elevage. The end wine is dense and concentrated, with dark berry character, earthy, savoury notes, and spice. Big flavour, big fun.
