Why we love this Wine
Curly Flat doesn't do easy vintages, and the Macedon Ranges doesn't really offer them. This Estate blend is built from eleven separate parcels — different aspects, clones and soils — fermented on indigenous yeast with varying whole bunch and skin contact, then sixteen months in 20% new oak and bottled unfiltered. Red and black berries, white pepper, wild strawberry, a whiff of cedar. Silky, sappy tannins, real tension, understated throughout. Cool-climate Pinot doing what it should.
