Curatolo Arini owes its moniker to namesake founder and Sicilian grape grower Vito Curatolo Arini, the Arini name being a self-styled flourish. His bold choice to open a winery in 1875, in the heart of his family's Sicilian vineyards, is this complex, enveloping blend of Grillo (50%), Catarratto (25%) and Inzolia (25%). Once all the sugars are developed, maceration continues for another 7 days for optimal tannin extraction and a full aromatic profile. Picture fresh figs, golden syrup and almond biscotti, an enchanting pairing for sharp blue cheeses, or sipped neat to close an evening. Superiore indeed.
