920 years of the Mattioli family in Collecapretta village, growing vines on the jagged hillside. That’s the 1100s. That’s beyond comprehension. The family age wines according to the lunar cycle, producing under 8000 bottles yearly. Terra dei Preti (Hill of the Priests) is made from 100% old-vine Trebbiano Spoletino and heeding to the ancient Ribollita practice; wild fermented, long maceration on skins, and zero additions. Wild spice, ripe stone fruit, citrus and stone combine for a true taste of Umbrian terroir.
