Falanghina (Fal-lahn-GEE-nah) is an Italian white grape variety from Campania and Ciro Picariello is one of the rockstars of the region who is capable of turning Falanghina Beneventana into something quite special. It’s all lemon, peach, honey and almond blossom; rich and textural yet pulsing with a vivid minerality with the fruit stretched tautly on a stoney, savoury exoskeleton. Damn it’s good drinking.
