Just to the south of the famous French wine region of Burgundy, the Mâcon is the place to head if you seek great value Chardonnay at a fraction of the price of their brethren and sistren to the north. It’s a pure and expressive rendition of the variety with white peach, green apple and citrus fruits, soft spice, some white floral lift and a waft of crushed oyster shell. Mouthfilling, lively and great sapid drinking from this much improved wine region.
