Why we love this Wine
The lovely Chalmers family in Merbein near Mildura, are one of the driving forces behind the success of the so-called ‘alternative varieties’ (we like to call them ‘appropriate varieties’) in Australia. Here, they present a super-lovely rendition of Aglianico, flexing its muscular structure yet with considerable crunch-factor showing dark berry and plum fruits, purple floral tones, spice, amaro herbs and a structured yet savoury flick to its tail.
