Nobody puts baby in the corner, baby in this case being the one-time abandoned native Piedmontese variety, Slarina. Low yielding, sure, but that's not your problem. You just get to enjoy the results of Fabrizio Iuli's tender loving labour, and enjoy it you shall if you like your reds youthful, bright and brimming with joyous red fruits. Gentle tannins keep it interesting. Drink young.
